Winner solution for urban farming in Sweden

Samraekt (Iceland) The University of Iceland, EN-EF Concept (Serbia), LandingAquaculture (The Netherlands) and the University of Maribor (Slovenia) participated in the Climate-KIC Innovation Competition – Urban Food from Residual Heat – suggesting urban farming solutions to four municipalities in Sweden, Malmö, Lund, Bjuv and Oscarshamn. The team was one of three finalists and won second prize. WUR, Senmatic, DGS and more companies provided valuable inputs to the proposal. The three winner proposals were presented at the Conference – Food and Cities, held by the Swedish Agricultural University (SLU), City of Malmö, Climate-KIC and Swedish Surplus Energy Collaboration (SSEC) in Malmö on September 19th.
